The multi-use facility is divided into two blocks, A and B, and the Shizuoka Gas Shimizu branch office as the key facility. The complex is situated on an industrial site close to the Shimizu Stadium. The plaza in the centre joins all three buildings to a meaningful whole. It also serves as an emergency passage where ambulances can enter and exit unhindered. When the Tomoe River, which flows alongside the alleys is in flood, the site is occasionally flooded and was accordingly used as a reservoir. Now, the new parking space in this area helps to regulate the ponding. Shizuoka Gas did not only select this location on account of its appropriateness for the branch office, but also with the intention of contributing actively to the development of this region as well as enhancing its attraction. The project accommodates a book shop, a cultural school, cooking school and tennis school in Building A, a bakery, grocery, florist and a seafood restaurant in Building B and offices in the branch office building. Each building exhibits individually in its design: the branch office represents a business image; the food shop and restaurant block is shaped like playful fish; the cultural school evokes an atmosphere.
