Designing a house that demonstrates what light steel frames are capable of, as well as making the house look and feel like a cosy home for a future owner, sounds like squaring the circle between functional and aesthetic requirements. Here, under the guise of a traditional English cottage style house suitable for the UK mass housing market, lies the technology of the home of the future.

The detached house comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, lounge, dining room and kitchen opening onto a conservatory/breakfast room. Above the large double garage is a linked but self-contained office, fully equipped to take advantage of modern communication technology to facilitate efficient home office working, yet maintaining a private and comfortable domestic environment. The frame ensures rapid construction to watertight and can incorporate materials and finishes to meet client requirements. The structure provides wide spans and clear uncluttered roof space areas resulting in an efficient plan and space utilization.
